A lot of my friends, mostly those from Luzon and Mindanao, often ask me on what places they can go to if they only have a day to tour around Cebu City. Well, I always say that really depends on what kind of places you want to see. Are you someone who loves adventure? Are you a beach bum? Or are you someone who just enjoys nature tripping?
For this blog, I am writing it for people who would like to experience the beauty of Cebu without having to travel 2-3 hours away from the city and get to enjoy a lot of Instagram-worthy spots.
Here are my top 5 places in Busay:
1. SIRAO FLOWER FARM ("The Little Amsterdam of Cebu")
A lot of travel agencies nowadays are offering tours to Busay. You can either avail their tours or go to these tourist sites on your own. Of course, it's less hassle if you join tours but you could save more money and be able to enjoy and spend more time if you will commute.
My friend, Jay and I visited Sirao over a week ago and we were amazed of the transformation of this place. Now, they not only have the flower garden but they also have an infinite pool and a viewing deck. They even extended the area so they can accommodate more people, and planted sunflowers as well. Very beautiful!

Travel Tip # 3: Make sure it is not raining when you visit Sirao or anywhere in Busay. The roads are slippery and some areas are prone to flood and landslides. Some areas are also muddy.

2. TEMPLE OF LEAH
Temple of Leah is probably the most visited place in Cebu City. It is dubbed as Cebu's Taj Mahal mainly because of its Greek-inspired architecture. The place is not yet 100% complete but the view here is breathtaking.

3. TOPS LOOKOUT
If you want to get a great view of Cebu City then head on to TOPS. The travel is worth it. They also have a sweet corn station nearby. Their freshly cooked sweet corn is a must-try!

4. MOUNTAIN VIEW RESORT
Mountain View Resort is a memorable place for me and my husband since this is where we celebrated our simple engagement party before our wedding in 2015. I also considered this as my go-to place whenever I need a break from the stressful life in the city. Aside from the view and fresh air, this place has a pool that you and your family can enjoy. They have rooms for as low as PHP 600 (double bed fan room with common bathroom) that you can rent overnight. They also have outdoor activities here which we have not tried.

5. TERRAZAS DE FLORES
I went out with some friends to shoot for a promotional video for Cebu and one of the chosen destinations was in Terrazas De Flores. It's my first time to visit the place and just like Sirao Flower Farm, they have a variety of plants in their garden. The garden was colorful and they have cottages as well where you can hang out, rest and simply enjoy the peaceful environment.
