Friends and family and some close relatives know me as someone who really loves to cook. My love for cooking prompted me to enroll in a culinary course for 6-8 months in 2014 but was not able to finish it due to the demands and schedule of my work. If you'll check the 'About Me' page in this blog, I work as a software engineer for an IT company here in Cebu, Philippines. I am into software development, so I am usually in the office from morning til dawn (10:00 AM - 1:00 AM). It was hard for me to give up the course but I had to choose.

Anyway, despite this, I somehow try to continue learning on how to cook different dishes using the available resources I have on the Internet. There are a lot of food videos / e-books that we can find online. The challenges I have are:

1. Where to find the right ingredients or what we can use as alternative and;

2. If the kitchen tools / equipment are available in our household.

Considering the above bullet points, I created a page called 'Mimi Cooks PH' so I can share simple recipes (mostly of Filipino food) that are easier to prepare and ingredients are readily available in our local markets.

For this blog, I am sharing my Sautéed Crabs recipe which is my husband's favorite. I will also include the costing here and share a video with instructions on how you can cook the same at home.
